Berglund Construction and Partners Recognized at 2024 CAF/NWIBRT and Chicago Building Congress Merit Awards Ceremonies

With an active awards season, the Berglund Construction team celebrated alongside many influential industry leaders in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana regions last night to commemorate the impactful work completed this past year.

This year’s Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF) and Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable (NWIBRT) Awards Banquet recognized Northwest Indiana’s top builders and project owners for the most distinguished industry achievements in 2023. Berglund Construction leaders and key individuals from Journeyman Distillery accepted this year’s Commercial Project of the Year Award for the incredible transformation and preservation of the historic American Factory, a 137,000 sq ft facility, located in Valparaiso, Indiana.

“This visionary collaboration between our team and Journeyman’s to create an iconic establishment for the Valparaiso community for years to come was such an exciting endeavor,” stated Jeffrey Berglund, President, Building Division & Chief Growth Officer at Berglund Construction. “We are thrilled to see Journeyman Distillery and our extended team receive this well-deserved recognition.”

To conclude this celebratory night for Berglund Construction, team members convened with influential partners including representatives from the University of Chicago, Museum of Science and Industry Chicago, Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital (Acadia Healthcare) and Wight & Company for the annual Chicago Building Congress Merit Awards Gala. During the evening’s festivities, the following project finalists were represented among the various winners in their categories:
