Bring your specialized expertise to the company that values your work and safety.

As one of the largest and oldest construction and restoration firms in the Midwest, we employ over 300 tradespeople. We hire laborers, carpenters, masons, tuckpointers, concrete finishers and heavy equipment operators to self-perform a variety of work scopes associated with both new construction and building restoration.

Berglund takes pride in upholding the highest standards for workplace ethics and safety. To ensure a culture in which everyone is treated with respect, we provide an anonymous hotline to report any jobsite issues. Our .47 EMR is world-class, besting the industry average of 1.00. Berglund’s safety program stands as our most important priority, and we consistently work to improve the safety of our operations. We want all employees to return home safely every night.

Continuous Development and Leadership

Our smart growth strategy relies on fostering leadership and career growth for our employees. We work with each person to identify development opportunities that fit their individual goals. This could mean learning a new technology, acquiring a new certification or exploring a new opportunity within a different Berglund division.

Work Hard, Play Hard Culture

We believe bringing employees together to socialize builds stronger, more collaborative teams. Company-sponsored social outings every quarter are a way to relax and have fun outside the office. Past events have included trips to Lagunitas Brewery and afternoons playing games at Whirlyball and Pinstripes.

Getting Involved and Giving Back

We work with a variety of social impact organizations to help foster meaningful change in our communities. Our mentorship programs, volunteer events and fundraising efforts all provide significant opportunities for employees to give back to the community.
