Alisha Berglund, Director of Client Services at Berglund Construction, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Porter County Community Foundation (PCCF), further strengthening a long-standing relationship between the Berglund family, their 115-year-old construction firm, and one of Porter County’s most impactful community organizations.
Berglund Construction has a meaningful history with PCCF. The firm proudly constructed the Foundation’s headquarters, helping create a permanent home that supports its mission of strengthening Porter County through philanthropy, leadership, and collaboration. In addition, Fred Berglund, followed by Carol Hall of Berglund Construction, served on the PCCF Board. Within Carol’s 13 years on the Board, she also served as Board Chair, providing long-term leadership and guidance to the organization.
Alisha’s appointment follows a year of active service on PCCF’s First Things First Advisory Board, where she contributed to strategic planning efforts, participated in grant reviews, and completed the Strosacker Early Learning Fellowship. Through this work, she gained hands-on experience advancing early childhood initiatives and supporting programs that create lasting impact for families and communities across the county.
“I’m honored and excited to join the PCCF Board,” Alisha shared. “Serving on the First Things First Advisory Board has been incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue supporting PCCF’s mission in this expanded role.”
As a board member, Alisha will continue her involvement with the First Things First Advisory Board, ensuring continuity and continued focus on early learning and long-term community investment. Her professional background in client services and relationship management brings valuable perspective to the Board, particularly in strengthening collaboration, stewardship, and strategic growth.
Alisha’s appointment reflects both her personal commitment to community service and Berglund Construction’s ongoing dedication to Porter County.
