Berglund Construction was entrusted with the task of constructing and renovating the retail space that would eventually become Wild Oats Community Market, and later, Whole Foods. The project was located in Hinsdale, IL, a vibrant and environmentally-conscious community that values high-quality grocery options.

Inside the store, we undertook a comprehensive interior build-out. This encompassed the installation of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other utilities essential for the store's operation. Given the focus on sustainability and community engagement, we integrated environmentally-friendly features into the building, such as energy-efficient lighting, sustainable materials, and efficient insulation to minimize the store's carbon footprint. The store's exterior was meticulously designed to blend seamlessly with the Hinsdale community's aesthetic. This included the installation of exterior finishes, landscaping, and parking lot construction to create an inviting and accessible environment for customers.
