This project brought new life to the first-floor banking hall of the historic Calumet Bank building in downtown Hammond through a careful restoration and modernization. The work included restoring, patching, and repainting the original plaster walls and ceilings, refurbishing the decorative light fixtures, and polishing the existing travertine floors to refresh the space while keeping its historic character intact. The project also included replacing the large curtainwall openings along Fayette Street, installing new HVAC and electrical systems, and building out public restrooms, a warming kitchen, storage areas, and a new coffee shop.
