Project Overview

Berglund uncovered the historic monumental leaded glass windows, for the Normandy Room, which had been concealed behind plaster walls for decades. The leaded glass windows were restored including wood window frames and sashes, as well as exterior stucco repairs. Berglund also restored the Clocktower, which included reconstructing the exterior of the landmark clock tower, removing deteriorated plaster, and reconstructing the masonry back up, cast stone repairs, and exterior stucco finish.

The historic exterior loggia was concealed for years, in 2022 Berglund began the Normandy Room and Loggia Restoration to restore the space to it’s original glory. The project included restoring the original arched openings in the exterior loggia, clay tile, plaster, and cast stone repairs, as well as recreating the original doors and railings and included the installation of a new ADA accessible lift. New mechanical systems were also reconfigured to allow to return the interior of the Normandy room to it’s original appearance, including wood paneling repairs, windows, and hardware.
