Project Overview

Namaste Charter School, situated in the McKinley Park neighborhood, sought to expand and renovate its existing building to further its mission. The school's unique Namaste Model is dedicated to fostering advanced focused learning and instilling long-term health and exercise habits in Chicago's youth.

As part of the renovation, Berglund focused on enhancing the cafeteria to embody principles of health and wellness for each child. The design-build services provided by Berglund included a 12,000 sqft addition and a comprehensive 40,000 sqft interior renovation, along with improvements to parking and landscaping. Throughout the project, Berglund demonstrated agility and creativity in managing costs and schedules within the constraints of Namaste's tight budget, ensuring that the school could continue to deliver its impactful educational model to the community.
