Project Overview

The Hammond Housing Authority (HHA) provides homes for low-income families and individuals. Those who meet income requirements are selected in accordance with the Hammond Housing Authority Occupancy Policy. HHA properties are handicapped accessible, have hearing-impaired smoke detectors as well as many other accommodations.

This HUD funded project included an interior demolition and renovation of 92 existing residential buildings to meet energy star ratings and requirements. The project also consisted of water heater upgrades to 13 existing residential buildings to meet requirements as well as site improvements to accommodate green space living.
