Project Overview

The project involved the construction of a new 31,000 sqft, one-story addition to the existing Decatur Classical School, significantly expanding the school's facilities. This addition was carefully designed to accommodate new science, art, and special needs classrooms, providing students with modern and well-equipped learning spaces. Additionally, the annex includes administrative offices, faculty work rooms, a gymnasium complete with an office, stage, and storage facilities, as well as a new student dining/multi-purpose room, hybrid kitchen, and locker rooms, enhancing the overall functionality of the school.

Beyond the building itself, the project encompassed the development of essential site features, including an expanded parking lot to accommodate the growing school community, stormwater management infrastructure to ensure environmental sustainability, and a playground to promote outdoor activities and recreation. Furthermore, a loading area was included to facilitate deliveries and logistics, while landscaping was implemented to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the school grounds, creating a welcoming and conducive environment for learning.
