Berglund was appointed to preform a full gut renovation of a former ICU floor to convert to ISO-7 & ISO-8 level clean rooms to be used for clinical research space. This highly sensitive and mechanically complex project included two new custom air handler units installed on the roof (seven stories high) along with new mechanical and electrical risers run from the sub-basement up to the roof through vacated linen chutes. The project included full MEPFP / BAS commissioning by a 3rd party commissioning agent.
