The project included the buildout of second-floor shell space into a new medical office environment, along with significant first-floor improvements to support an Ambulatory Surgery Center. The surgical scope included a new operating room, two endoscopy procedure rooms and five recovery rooms.

Construction required careful planning and sequencing within the occupied hospital to maintain safe access and uninterrupted patient care throughout the work. One of the project’s critical early milestones was the new X-ray room, which Berglund successfully prepared for equipment installation just eight weeks after mobilization. Achieving this accelerated turnover required close coordination of trades, inspections and infrastructure installation while the remainder of the project continued.
