Project Accounting Manager
Reports To: Finance Operations Manager
Direct Reports: Project Accounting Team
Primary Focus: Execute and manage a project accounting team to ensure timely & accurate billing including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Will actively participate in the processes while managing a team of 2 -4 professionals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the project accounting team that works with the project management teams to accurately and timely develop pay applications for our construction projects.
- Execute the project invoicing process on assigned projects including creating pay applications, seeking input of the project management team and clients, handling all waivers and compliance reporting including distribution of payments to subcontractors.
- This position will develop and oversee processes and procedures. While we will follow a standard process, each project has its own complexities and unique features to be handled.
- Significant client and subcontractor interaction to collect information and resolve issues.
- Understand and embrace new uses of technology to facilitate the processes.

Position Requirements:
- College degree, preferably accounting related
- Knowledge of construction accounting and billing processes
- Strong process focus
- Managerial experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to continuously improve a process through process improvement and technology
