Pre-Construction Intern

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Construction Intern to assist our preconstruction team. This internship offers hands-on experience in the early phases of construction projects, including estimating, planning, bid coordination and business development.

You’ll work alongside industry professionals, contribute to real proposals, and see how strategic planning sets the stage for project success. You will also be involved in training sessions, jobsite tours, and safety responsibilities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Perform quantity takeoffs to support accurate project estimates
• Solicit bids and proposals from subcontractors and suppliers
• Assist with evaluating proposals and compiling bid packages
• Support estimating team throughout the preconstruction process
• Attend preconstruction meetings and assist with documentation
• Collaborate with professionals across departments to prepare winning proposal
• Perform data entry and maintain organized files

• Currently college student entering their Junior or Senior year pursuing a degree in Construction Management, or a related field
• Passion and curiosity for a career in the construction industry and project management
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with project management software is a plus
• Desire to work, learn, and grow within a collaborative environment
• Ability to work on-site and adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Reliable self-transportation to and from work-related activities and assignments daily
