Berglund has recently started construction on the new Heavilin Elementary School located at 2450 Heavilin Road, Valparaiso, Indiana. The school is expected to house more than 500 students and will hold 35 classrooms, a gymnasium, media center and an outdoor play area. Berglund is acting as the General Contractor while working alongside The Skillman Corporation as the Construction Manager and Gibraltar Design and Architecture as the Architect. The 94,000 Sq. Ft. school is currently 30% completed and is projected to open in August of 2017. Mayor Jon Costas hopes the school will provide the highest level of facility for students and help them to learn and compete in the 21st century.
