Berglund and Brown & Momen Begin Construction on Chicago’s Joint Public Safety Outdoor Scenario Village

Berglund Construction and Brown & Momen in partnership with designer, Moody Nolan, are excited to announce the start of construction on the Joint Public Safety Outdoor Scenario Training Village. The state-of-the-art 57,000 square foot design-build project, which has been dubbed a “mini city”, is Phase Two of the training campus for Chicago’s Police and Fire departments. The village structures include a multi-story mixed-use structure, a residential two-flat and three-flat block, a six-story live-fire burn tower, a technical rescue prop, an auto extrication area, a Haz-Mat transportation area, a railway prop area, and a driver’s training course.

Berglund Construction is currently involved with constructing Phase One of the Police & Fire Training Campus which includes the new construction of a 198,950 square foot Training Academy building.
