Berglund Construction is managing the multi-phase, multi-flow renovation of BayCare Mease Countryside Hospital. This project will greatly increase the functional workflow of the hospital.

The lower level renovations include enlarging and enclosing the loading dock, the addition of a morgue cooler, and converting current spaces to storage areas. The first floor features renovations to create a concourse creating a new connection to the pavilion expansion, minor upgrades to the existing Café, Pastoral Care offices, and updates to existing Pharmacy for administration offices. Additionally, renovations will be made to the second floor to relocate surgical prep, Stage II, and PACU. This relocation will make way for the relocation of the Respiratory Therapy space. We will also add two operating rooms and renovate the locker rooms. The third, fourth, and fifth floors include the patient room renovations, relocation of Neuro Diagnostics, and elevator lobby updates.

During construction, the existing cafeteria, loading dock, family waiting suite, and clean corridor suite will remain in-use by the hospital for the duration of the project. Our team has taken careful coordination and implemented pre-planning to mitigate disruptions and eliminate any constraints.
