Project Overview
Berglund Construction is overseeing the extensive renovation of BayCare Mease Countryside Hospital, a project that consists of multiple phases and floors. This undertaking will significantly enhance the hospital's functional workflow.
The lower level renovations entail enlarging and enclosing the loading dock, adding a morgue cooler, and transforming existing spaces into storage areas. On the first floor, there will be renovations to create a concourse, establishing a new connection to the pavilion expansion. Minor upgrades will be made to the existing Café, Pastoral Care offices, and the Pharmacy for administration offices. Additionally, the second floor will undergo changes to relocate surgical prep, Stage II, and PACU. This relocation allows for the addition of two operating rooms, as well as the relocation of the existing Surgical Services Administration, which will make space available for new employee, anesthesia, and surgeon lounges. Furthermore, renovations will be carried out for all surgical locker rooms, and the OR Control room will be relocated. The third, fourth, and fifth floors will witness patient room renovations, the relocation of Neuro Diagnostics, and updates to the elevator lobbies.
Throughout the construction process, the hospital will continue to use the existing cafeteria, loading dock, family waiting suite, and clean corridor suite. Our team has meticulously coordinated and conducted thorough pre-planning to minimize disruptions and eliminate any limitations.
