Berglund Construction provided construction management services for The University of Chicago Medicine Electrophysiology Laboratory. Berglund converted an existing Catheterization Laboratory in Bernard Mitchell Hospitals new EP Lab. The scope of work included minor demolition of existing interior partitions, soffits and finishes and the new installation will be consistent to a typical interior buildout of a technology driven laboratory space in a large research hospital setting. A special attenion was given to the electrical design to avoid inference issues with the very sensitive EP electrical signals that are measured during Electrophysiology procedures. A hemodynamic system, 3D mapping systems, surgical lighting and integration through Image Stream are all new features to the suite.
