The Advocate Trinity Hospital South Building HVAC Project was a multi-phased project over multiple years which included replacement of the HVAC system for the South Building of the Hospital. Work is performed on floors two through five, the building penthouse, and exterior rooftop. This HVAC system replacement consisted of a new rooftop air handling unit, dampers, exhaust fans, piping and ductwork. This includes interior demolition, cutting, patching, steel, masonry, ceilings, flooring, painting drywall, etc. This is an operational hospital, so all adjacent floors and wings remained occupied during construction. Proper temporary protection, infection control, safety and quality measures for construction were required. This project falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Chicago and the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH).
