Berglund Construction awarded Contractor of the Year and Project of the Year by the Construction Advancement Foundation
CHESTERTON, IN – The 2005 Northwest Indiana Construction Industry Awards Program recognizes excellence in teamwork, safety, management, and craftsmanship in local area contractors. Berglund Construction was awarded two of these prestigious awards this year, Contractor of the Year, and Project of the Year for the construction of the Kallay-Christopher Hall at Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana. This project consisted of a new 16,830-square-foot building, houses the Departments of Communication, Geography and Meteorology and also the renovation of the existing Schnabel Hall. Berglund Construction was presented with these awards on October 7th at the 2005 Construction Industry Banquet and Awards Presentation.

Berglund Construction is a family owned General Contractor currently celebrating its 94th year in business. The firm maintains an office staff of approximately 60 people and employs field forces of more than 300 tradesmen.
