This position function is to organize, plan and estimate the cost of a construction project from conceptual drawings through completion of construction documents.  This individual will work in a project team environment that includes other estimators and preconstruction staff members, project managers, superintendents, senior management, support staff, project owners, vendors and subcontractors.

Primary Duties
• Pre-bid meetings and site inspections
• Understanding project considerations for new and renovation projects including constraints, access, project phasing, coordination and impact items
• Reviewing drawings to fully understand project, new construction and renovations
• Breaking down a project into work items
• Subcontractor bid solicitation
• Review and recommendation of subcontractor proposals
• Take-offs of self-performed work
• Assembly of bids and estimates
• Value engineering list preparation and analysis
• Participate in presentation of information to clients
• Transition estimate and pre-construction work to project managers
